When you join the Y, you join more than a place for "gym" and "swim". You become part of a community of people dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for themselves, their families and their neighbors. At the Y, we are for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Y is an organization open to all people: men, women, girls and boys of all ages, all races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientation, physical and mental abilities and financial circumstances. Our branches and every program embraces diversity, reflecting the needs and composition of the communities we serve. Our memberships are available at youth, young-adult, senior citizen, individual and household rates. In order to make Y memberships affordable and accessible to all, we are happy to offer the Membership For All(MFA) financial assistance program to prospective members.

We believe people with varying abilities share a common healthy spirit. We are confident that our Y can strengthen the foundations of community through a commitment to both the value and practice of diversity. We recognize that inclusion is a process that will grow, develop and become more effective through the efforts of staff, volunteers, membership and the greater community.

Members and program participants who come to the Y with varying abilities are encouraged to contact the Membership Specialist to help identify opportunities that can be offered. It is the intent of the Door County YMCA to include people of varying abilities to the extent that appropriate service and care can be provided. Care Providers are always welcome to the Y at no charge. Contact the Y to learn more.
