Child Care

CHILD-CARE

Children are our future. The Door County YMCA Child Care is about the basics in life, caring, learning, healthy relationships and safety. Families trust the YMCA Child Care to give their children the opportunity to develop in spirit, mind and body.

A Note from Our Team

All YMCA Child Care programs are dedicated to offering a high quality, educational and caring experience. We are designed around encouraging children to build healthy, happy attitudes and to acquire competencies and skills through a variety of educational and play experiences. Our goal is to develop a positive self-image, to foster a joy of learning to expand understanding and to assist children in forming rewarding social relationships. The development of desirable attitudes, healthy habits and skills is the end result. We believe that through engaging early education curriculum that includes literacy development, creativity, self-choice, and learning through play children build the necessary skills to create a foundation to be successful not only in school, but in their adult lives as well. Our staff at all our child care programs work together to develop a schedule and lessons that are based on each child’s individual goals and achievements. Each child enrolled in any one of our programs is valued and recognized as a unique individual with an opportunity for growth and development.
