Ages 5 through 12
The Door County YMCA has a state licensed after school child care program at Sunrise School and Southern Door Schools. Kids Club program activities include arts/crafts, instructor led group games, outdoor time, free time, homework help and physical activity. USDA approved snack is served daily. Registration for the program is on a first come first served basis and a waiting list is kept when full. This program follows the Sturgeon Bay School calendar and care is offered on all half days of school but, by law, not on any day that school is closed or cancelled for any reason (ie: snow day or holiday).

KIDS DAY OUT
Grades K to 5
No school and Mom and Dad have to work? No problem. It's Kids Day Out at the Y. Spend the day with the YMCA Lansing Avenue Center and enjoy safe and fun activities for kids including field trips and play time at the Y. Watch for flyers at school for more details before each Kids Day Out. They are typically run during holiday breaks from school.
After School Program
Students ages 7+
At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. The school age child care program is the Y's response to assist working families with their need for safe, quality care for their child(ren) each day while parents are at work. This school year, we are offering afterschool care 5 days a week! Included in the program are:
- Swim lessons on Mondays, Sports lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Karate on Wednesdays
- Open Gym/Outside time on Fridays (depending on weather)
- We will provide a healthy snack and time for homework on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
