The Moving For Better Balance Program is offered at both the Sturgeon Bay and Fish Creek centers. Join this video to learn more about this well received program. Moving For Better Balance is a 12-week evidenced-based group program based on principles of Tai Chi. You will learn eight movements modified especially for fall prevention over the 12-week period.
The program works to improve balance and mobility which can improve overall physical health and better functioning in daily activities. Participation in the program also results in better mental health, reduced stress, improved memory and increased self-esteem. The safe and supportive setting provides an opportunity for participants to enjoy learning with like-minded adults and find relief from the isolation that can sometimes come from living with limited mobility.
