Door County YMCA Celebrated a Week of Community, Wellness, and Fun
It was a busy and inspiring week at the Door County YMCA, as the organization hosted several events that brought together families, members, and neighbors in celebration of wellness, connection, and community spirit.
Last week began with Fall 2 Program Registration, welcoming participants into a new session of youth activities, fitness programs, and wellness opportunities designed to help individuals of all ages thrive.
On Tuesday, the Y held its Annual Community Healthy Living Fair, proudly sponsored by Door County Medical Center. The fair connected attendees with local health and wellness resources, offering screenings, demonstrations, and information to support healthier living throughout Door County.
Over the weekend, families enjoyed festive fun at Trunk or Treat events held at both the Sturgeon Bay and Jackie & Steve Kane Program Centers, where creativity, costumes, and community came together in true Y spirit.
The week wrapped up with an energetic splash as the Door County YMCA Swim Team officially kicked off their season with a Midnight Swim on Saturday night — a beloved annual tradition that builds camaraderie, motivation, and excitement among swimmers.
“Our mission is to strengthen the foundations of community, and this past week showed that mission in action,” said Tonya Felhofer, Door County YMCA CEO. “From wellness education to family fun and youth sports, we’re proud to offer experiences that bring people together and support the health of our entire community.”
The Door County YMCA remains dedicated to providing opportunities for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility throughout the year.
