American Red Cross Hosts Disaster Relief Training at the Door County YMCA

[Sturgeon Bay, WI] – November 20, 2024 – The Door County YMCA recently served as the host location for an impactful American Red Cross Disaster Relief Training event, bringing community members together to prepare for emergencies. The training, held on Wednesday, November 13,2024, drew participants from across Door County, equipping them with essential skills to respond effectively during times of crisis.

The afternoon session provided attendees with hands-on learning opportunities and key insights into the Red Cross’s disaster response framework. Led by experienced Red Cross instructors, participants were trained in areas such as shelter management, disaster assessment, and first aid techniques. The interactive format ensured practical learning while fostering collaboration among future volunteers.
