FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Areas/Facilities

When will the aquatic centers reopen?

We are planning to reopen the lap pool, recreational/wading pool and hot tub at each center in Phase 2 beginning June 15.  The lap pools and hot tubs will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis with enforced capacities for social distancing. Online reservations will be required for the recreation/wading pools. Please note that users will need to provide their own towel. The sauna (Northern Door) will reopen at a to-be-determined date.

When will the locker rooms reopen?

Locker rooms will open to all users on Monday, June 8. Social distancing will be strongly encouraged by members; however, members will need to use their sole discretion and comfort level when determining if they will use the locker room.

Classes and Programs

When will classes resume?

We plan to reintroduce limited programming on a low-capacity basis during Phase 3 (early July).

When will indoor pickle ball resume?

Adult pickle ball will resume effective with Phase 2 which begins on Monday, June 15. Only singles play will be allowed with a maximum of six players waiting to play next.  Anyone playing will be required to make a reservation online to secure their spot. Any available time slots will be opened up for walk-in reservations 15 minutes prior. Continue to check back for more information.

General

What questions should I ask myself before coming to the Y? Will daily temperatures be taken?

At this point, we will not be screening members or staff via daily temperature checks as that does not guarantee or preclude a potential case. However, we ask that no one - staff or members - come to the Y if they feel sick for any reason. Prior to coming to the Y, ALL members and staff should answer the health screening questions on the right-hand side of the page, or CLICK HERE to view them.

Do you require wearing a mask in the facility?

It is our policy that staff will be required to wear a mask when moving around the facility or working with members (personal trainers). We strongly encourage members to wear a mask when moving around the facility but not while they are working out or swimming.

I never needed to check out before, so why are we required to check out now?

Due to room capacities at both of our program centers that are reflective of social distancing, we want to ensure we have accurate counts of members currently in the building. In the event of a large number of facility users, this will allow us an adequate tracking method and to be able to inform members waiting to check in that we're currently at maximum capacity.
